Best place to buy quality parts?

Hey guys, where is the best place/vendor to but aftermarket parts from. Im getting ready to buy a billet grill for my 71 and also bumpers and dont want to buy any junk. Any advice would be appreciated.

There are several site vendors that will be happy to sell you what you need.

Or you might get lucky and find someone local. I found a guy here in Houston that has billet grills for $450 instead of the $600 you see in catalogs.

I may be speaking out of turn, but here goes. The aftermarket parts industry only has a limited number of manufacturers. RePop is one brand that comes to mind, and there a a few more. It all comes down to who has the best price. Sheet metal pieces are all made overseas. Shipping them in containers provides the least cost for shipping, but also means that occasionally a piece will have a ding, or a scratch in the EDP coating. The vendors will tell you that it's a possibility. There are others in the States, such as Early Classic Enterprises, and M&H Fabricators who manufacture suspension components like spindles (ECE) or wiring harnesses (M&H). McGaughey's is another suspension component manufacturer. Both of these suppliers package their systems to provide you with everything you may need to do the job their components are designed to do. ECE includes Delco and Moraine parts with their kits.

So, shop around and if possible, give the site vendors a shot. They may be able to beat the prices that you find from other larger vendors, as Classic Heartbeat did for me (Thanks, Wes).

Thanks ChevLoRay, I got one of those "dinged" pieces you talk about from LMC. I bought one of their cowl hoods and had a dent right in the cowl. Other than that it seems like a pretty good piece. You also mentioned some suspension companies, im also getting ready to get some drop spindles and a c-notch kit. I have recently tubbed my truck and put coilovers and now that ive got my ride height i want in the rear, i only have 1 1/2 clearance between rearend and frame. Thank for the replies!

Lots of board vendors that are truck owners on here. Tim Christian is in TN... most of these guys won't sell something they won't use themselves...

True there are only a few companies that produce sheetmetal but some are better than others...

Yeah,we all have that site.Matter of fact,there`s a current thread for them on this site.

I`d go with a closer vendor on big stuf if Tri-Pro doesn`t ill the need.Those are scratch`n`sniff items.Check the parts forum.In East TN you`ve got Christian`s.Those are oversize pieces so it`s location location location.
