Glow guages
Is anyone running glo or indiglo guages? I've looked on through the archives and can only find white face. I'm almost certain theres a glo set on the market somewhere...they usually have a little control with them for dimming and require a power source. If no one knows about this but has the reg white face gauges, are you just running colored bulbs behind them? Thanks in advance for the help

The guages have several layers to them. The plastic bezel on the outside, the clear lense, a metal plate (what most people paint) and that panel is what backs all the lettering, then the last piece holds all your gauges.
If you want to change the color the guages light up at night, just buy some peanut bulbs at a parts store and replace all the dash lights in the cluster. |

Come on give me a lil credit here...I'm not an idiot-I know changing the bulbs will change the color...I'm simply asking if there are glow gauge faces out there for our trucks...I had some on my imports but cannot find any for our trucks. It is an overlay that lights up itself, no bulbs required. I like them instead because they are bright as hell and often come with a switch to change the color as needed.

You can swap in aftermarket gauges if that's what you mean. Our truck's cluster holes are the same sizes as all the aftermarket ones. Look up all the custom clusters guys have with Autometers and such.

I've never seen them available for 67-72 trucks.

You can make your own. They look pretty close to the same IMO. Definitely good enough for the girls I date

lol...looks like I will go with the white overlays and bulbs...def not the results im after but I'm not going to dump money into them for now so it'll have to work....I'm pretty bummed out about this though, the ones I had on my cars were f'n bright, I would have to turn them down just to drive!
