Re: my never ending project
YES!!! You got that right. I'll bet I have more into my truck restoring it to factory box stock than it cost brand new. I still have some work to do to it but that work isn't restoration related. I'm up to $14,000. All the exterior sheet metal except the cab has been replaced and all of that with the exception of the bed floor and radiator support is factory GM. Cab floor and rocker panels are after market "stitch" panels. Whole cab bottom was done with POR, fiberglassed and then bed linered. Bottom of truck, undersides of all sheetmetal and inside all sheetmetal got bedliner spray. Frame got stripped POR'ed and painted. Enjot the pics. jim

Little stuff left to do is mount winch, wet sand & buff out and build belly pan\running boards. Body work takes lots and LOTS of beer!!!! God, Guts and Guns made America and God, Guts and Guns will preserve it! The worst thing you could do is get into my sights, but that don't matter, you'll never know it, cause you'll never hear the shotJim or Paladin whichever you choose. |

Re: my never ending project
Looks good fast75. Watch out for that air cleaner. I've seen the foam fall apart and fall in the carb. That will cause some aggrivating problems. Still looks sweet.

Re: my never ending project
yea, those air cleaners are problems, had one on a stang catch on fire and melt onto the carb...not good. that is one good looking truck though.

Re: my never ending project
it's a 350 4 bolt main, bored 40 over, 202 intake, 160 exhaust valves, 468 lift lunati cam, pertronix flame thrower distributor, (damn thing will knock fire from your azz), victor jr intake and an edlebrock 600. it farts thru hedmans and a set of 40 series flowmasters that dump right behind the cab.

Re: my never ending project
i've run into that already. i've changed the foam twice so far. the top is coming off soon, i dont like the victor jr intake, gonna go with a performer rpm on the advice of ProStreet71 a member here. he tells me im losing ft lbs of torque with the jr. gonna go to a bigger carb too, not sure which one yet, thats when i'll change to a GOOD breather. thanks for the heads up anyway bud,............Fast75
