If you want to stay 6-lug the best way is to buy a kit. When you factor in that you don't need to find and buy a 5-lug rearend or 5 lug wheels the price ani't that bad. Here's one.

Or you could do everything the way everyone else has been doing it, with a parts truck or from the junk yard, then get the 6 lug rototrs from GMC Paul.

I think you would lose on that deal. The kit with every thing you need is $449.90 and it has every thing new in a box. you can even get dropped spindels for the same price. The 6 lug rotors and cailipers are $219.95. Now you have to go buy a bunch of stuff at a junkyard. Probably not much chance of saving a hundred bucks after it's all said and done.
Just my 2 cents. ------------------ 72 GMC Sierra SWB almost finished---- 84 Softail Olive Branch MS

other options are available too, evne if they dont directly tie in: 6 lug shafts from 70-72 4x4 12 bolt are same length as 70-72 2wd shafts., can make spacer to go in behind brake backing plate on 64-69 axles to be able to use 70-up shafts
good luck., ------------------ Randy- Lincoln, IL randy@ccaonline.com 2177353230 *many GM parts bought, traded, or sold -am parting out: '81 Cutlass Supreme Brougham current fleet: -71 C-10 350/CH465/3.07- basketcase, #1 -90 Cavalier 2.2L sky blue, a driver -84 Z28 5.0L/700R4/3.73 daily driver -84 Firebird/SE 2.8L/T-5/3.73/engine bad, project #2 -82 purple Trans Am, project #3 *Paint is overrated* © RSS Enterprises 2000 |
