Question Anybody running a noisy gear drive?

Just how loud are these things? I have a quiet one, but can still hear it.......I have been thinking of switching over too a noisy one.......

on the 72 it has one, let just say it sounds like a jet plane

I worked on a chevelle that had one. It sounded pretty cool but the thing that would drive me crazy is if you motor had a major problem, you would never hear it. I would hate to drive down the road with the rods knocking and not hear it.

radio, what you wanna listen to the radio for, i like it best when poeple are lookin around going "wtf" then notice what coming behind , gig O 4x4 wiht some 40's can be scary to many here on the freeway

Oh come on guys ....The gear drives are way cool

I run one with the 6-71 super charger on the 72 camaro and I love it.

It makes the blower sound even better.

Hmmmm, I'm running a 6:71 on my Model A with a Gilmer style belt drive, and it alone drives me insane after an hour of cruising!

I have a Pete Jackson noisy gear drive on my Suburban and I love it. But then again the only tunes I listen to in my truck are the sound of the Flowmasters and gear drive. The only time I wish it was quieter is when I'm adjusting valves or something.
