60-66 repair manual

I'm having trouble finding a repair manual for my '62 GMC.
I've tried Chilton's and Haynes with no luck.
Anybody have one and can give me an item number or a website ?

Re: 60-66 repair manual

Classic parts.com has original shop manuals for these trucks, as well as others. I have one for a 63 chevy. Thicker than a phone book, very informative. Heres a linky to the manual page. Its the only place I know of that sells them. I think they only have Chevy manuals, Ive never seen one for a GMC. Still alot of good info, diagrams, schematics, etc.

Re: 60-66 repair manual

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Next question: Since the v6 is GMC specific, does that manual have info on it?

Re: 60-66 repair manual

I just looked through it and I didnt see anything on the GMC V6. Only the Chevy inlines. From what I understand, GMC and Chevy were just as competitive as Chevy and F*rd are today. So I can see why there isnt any GMC info in there.
I did notice that Classic Parts.com does have a Chevy/GMC factory assembly manual with original part numbers and diagrams. Been wanting to get that one myself. Dont know if this helps.

Re: 60-66 repair manual

I just got a CD ROM that has the orignal 63 GM shop manual and the 64' thru 66' supplements. Its over 2000 pages in a PDF file. I guess that doesnt help you but here is where I got it. I called them and ordered it over the phone, got it in 3 days.
