Bread to be a lover of the 67-72...
I've posted these old pics about a year ago, but I still find it cool that I ended up with a truck so similar to the one my Dad owned in 1970. I guess those years of drooling over his car photos he owned growing up made an impression on me.

WOW that is cool! That's the way I have come to love these old trucks as well. There was something about standing on the front seat as a boy riding with my dad in his truck what awesome memories I have. Notice I said standing in the seat hahaha! He bought that truck new in 72 3days before I was born. He still has her to this day and she is in great shape

Re: Bread to be a lover of the 67-72...
This is way too cool.I never knew your dad had that truck, musta missed that one before.Did you realize it after you got the shortbeds?I`ve realized paralells with my dad like this. They plant seeds we don`t realize till we`re older.
One thing I`ll never forget is cutting firewood with my dad using an Advance Design Chevy...the sound of the six cylinder and shifting the 3spd.Also,the sound of the clutch pedal slapping up on the floor board and the starter.I would lay up under the heater on the floor when we were done and I can hear the fan and feel the heat. The smell of an old Chevy 6 takes me back there, too.

The funny thing was that I always thought that old truck was a long bed until I revisited the photos last year. Yes, sometimes the parallels can sneek up on you can't they.

Re: Bread to be a lover of the 67-72...
i think alot of the people here have similar stories
i was raised with my dads 71 around everyday from the day i was born in 1991 till the day it was put into my grandpas shed for storage while we moved back in summer of 05 i remeber camping in itplaying around it when it was in our driveway, getting introuble for breaking the windsheild with a rock i now own the truck from my dad, i bought it from him on my 18th bday, about 3 weeks ago intrestinly enough my dads 71 looks suprissingly like your truck and your dads truck it must be something about medium olive green and white trucks

Great looking truck, and even better a history in your family. Keep it and pass it down someday.
