Upper Control arm ???

Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone had taken a 2 pairs of upper control arms & "spliced" them together to make them longer, to help with camber ???

I wouldnt think you would have to extend them much, & just wondered if there is any real problems with doing this

Thanks, Matt

Re: Upper Control arm ???

Hey Matt,... I think it would be easier to "shorten" the lower a-arms to accomplish the same results.
I plan to do this on my next low budget drop. I'm figuring 1/2"-3/4" out of the lowers.

Re: Upper Control arm ???

Ok, I just didnt know how that would affect the steering geometry, but I guess it would prolly do about the same thing as lengthening the upper & be easier plus make it tuck a lil better

Any more input ???

Re: Upper Control arm ???

you could always lengthen the uppers like the lowrider guys do. they cut them and extend them an 1" or 2" buy cutting them right in front of the cross shaft location and then adding that extra 1" or 2" of 3/16 plate to them and weld everything back together
