Need help with stuck colum shift

Hey has anyone else had this problem. My shifter doesnt want to come out of park it is an auto colum shift. Any info about rebuilding would be appreciated or maby its time to go with a tilt unit. If its not to hard i would like to rebuild mine.

I recently had the same problem.Mine got stuck in the N position,would go into drive,but not reverse.With the help of a fellow board member we took it apart and found out that the pointer had fallen inside and was just jamming it...Good luck............
