Driverside Alternator
Does anyone have a pic of how the alternator mounts on the driverside with exhaust manifolds? Thanks!!

Do you have the older style exhaust manifold with the tapped holes on the front?

This is the way the genny mounts. I want to put a alternator on. I was told brackets from a 69-70 chevy pu will work. I got another toy to mess with when i get burnt out on the 67.

hey carguy,
here's a pic of the brackets you need....you can use the 2 bolts right under that valve cover to bolt these up....disregard that bracket at the bottom of the pic

I think you should be able to use the bracket you have and use a long bolt clear through both ends of the bracket for the alternator to mount on with a spacer (piece of correct size pipe or tubing cut to length) behind the alternator. I did this on a 235 and think it should work with that bracket.
