Anyone Ever Use ACC Torque Converter?
There is a brand new ACC "Boss Hog" torque converter for sale close to me, with the perfect stall range. I was just curious if anyone has ever used or heard of this brand, is the quality good? They seem to have a nice website. Just looking for some feedback......

Re: Anyone Ever Use ACC Torque Converter?
ACC Converters are the best-kept secret in the hot rodding world IMO. I have been using them for over 12 years, and yet to have a single failure. I ran a regular 3500 ACC without an anti-ballooning plate with nitrous in '72 Vega running mid 6's in the 1/8 for 3 years with no problems. I tried that with a TCI without the plate and it was toast less than 40 passes. I ran an ACC 4500 race converter in my '82 Z28 for about 6 years, sold it to a buddy and it is in his Nova today. Its amazing something priced that well is of high quality, but I have known of about 10 different guys running them and they stone reliable. Buy one and forget about it!

I am also running one although i cant comment on the quality as of yet, since its less than a year old, but seems good to me. Im running a 2400-2900 stall converter.

Re: Anyone Ever Use ACC Torque Converter?
I bought one online and called them to give them the specs from my truck and what i was looking for They missed the stall speed pretty bad . I pulled it and sent it back to them to be adjusted ( i paid shipping adjustment was free ) and they went too far the other way . Seemed like a well built converter . Only had like 20 passes on it when i sold it for pennys on the dollar on Ebay as a footbrake drag car converter . Just wasn't going to send it back and pay shipping again + labor to have it fixed again .

Re: Anyone Ever Use ACC Torque Converter?
I have ballooned two of them, one on spray, one on motor. My brother has one in his nova, been in there since 00, with many street miles, and probably 1500 bottle passes, his is the most awesome converter I have delt with.

Re: Anyone Ever Use ACC Torque Converter?
Ok well for the most part they seem to get a good review. I will be picking it up this afternoon after school. It is supposed to be a 3200 stall, NIB. Lets hope it stays together behind my motor and maybe a little whiff of nitrous

Re: Anyone Ever Use ACC Torque Converter?
You'll tear up the tranny and engine before you do that converter.
