My father is looking for a front driveshaft for a 95 z71. Is thrie different drive shaft lengths for the 88-98 trucks? Any info would be great.

From what I found:

95 with Manual Transmission: front shaft is 32.50"
95 with 4L80E auto (code DAU): front shaft is 33.50"
95 with 4L60E auto (code DAT): front shaft is 31.75"

And yes it looks like other years have completely different sizes from what I can see, e.g. a 1991 apparently has 28.50" and 29.50". Although I am guessing that you would be safe with anything from 95-98 as it seems from anything I can find that those are identical to a 95.
