Who makes COOL 6-cylinder valve covers?

Does anyone make new 6-cylinder valve covers for my 292?
Or do I need to start looking at the local swap meets? I'd like a cool retro-looking aluminum one.
6-banger gurus tell me what's out there please.

The Offy is my favorite. It is a little pricey though...

Re: Who makes COOL 6-cylinder valve covers?

Here's a used Mercruiser aluminum one on Ebay pretty cheap!

Clifford also sells a cheap Chrome one with "Clifford" stamped on it that looks way cooler than stock.

Thank you very much 67 C-30.
I think I like the Offy style.
How common are the chrome Chevrolet steel valve covers?

Pretty common among 6 banger fans. They have the common iissues that the cheap the Taiwanese SBC covers do though; they rust pretty fast, and are chromed on the sealing surface and are most of the time hard to keep sealed. The aluminum ones would probably be much more durable for the long haul.

I prefer the stock script Chevrolet valve covers myself.

Re: Who makes COOL 6-cylinder valve covers?

Tom Langdon's www.stoveboltengineco.com sells valve covers like that[Or at least, they used to] Also finned 292-only lifter gallery side covers that match. Another option is valve covers for the earlier L6 (235, 261) and an adapter to bolt the older 4-screw covers to a newer L6 [230, 250, 292] 7-screw head. The early- '63, '64 and '65 - valve cover for the L-22 series L6s had a "Chevrolet" script embossed on the top. It would look cool if painted a contrasting color against Chevy Engine Orange. Like black, blue, chrome? Maybe picked out in pin-stripe paint? Just dreaming here.
I painted the valve cover on my 292 in VHT Cast Iron Gray, to get the heavy metal aluminum look on top of a CEO block and head. That's all I can afford now. I may switch it out with another stock cover painted orange with a "Hi_Torque 292" decal if I run into a long period of nothing better to do.
Right now I'm just happy it runs so good.
