5.3 Swap Motor Mounts - What Are These From??
I'm doing a 2004 5.3 swap into a 67 c-20 and I'm trying to figure out the motor mounts.
I was going to use the '67 type towers but some posts say that I'll need to modify them so the exhaust won't rub. Does anyone have any better pics of the set up I might need. Thanks for the help

Re: Motor Mounts - What Are They From??
They look like the '72 only 2wd big block mounts.

Re: Motor Mounts - What Are They From??
This is the set up I think I would need with my '67 towers now. It looks like if I use this setup, I'll only need one bolt to the tower. Thanks to whoever took the picture and sorry about the focus.

Re: Motor Mounts - What Are They From??
Can I take the "clam shell" looking mounts and make a setup similar to this cool one??
By the way, who makes this setup??

Re: Motor Mounts - What Are They From??
These also look cool and I think they would work. I just need to know if I'm on the right track. Do the big block 2wd motor mount towers look like the cool ones in my previous posts??
Thanks

Re: Motor Mounts - What Are They From??
I'm not sure the clamshell mounts will work with a gen 3 on BBC towers, but those mounts are WAY better than the flat biscuit mounts.
They're stronger and you feel a lot less vibration. It's enough of a difference that my wife noticed it and had no idea that I had changed anything when i switched to them. She just knew the truck "felt smoother".

Re: Motor Mounts - What Are They From??
Thanks for the replies. I have grown weary of trying to figure out exactly what I need. It appears that tons of other people have had these questions as well. I have given in and ordered these mounts from www.performanceonline.com.
Next I'll need to work on the block plates
