2wd and 4wd frame questions

I'm thinking of doing the popular swap, and I have searched and searched some more but have not found the answer I am looking for. I have a 2wd short frame that I am wanting to convert to a 4wd frame and sit my body up top. Is it as simple as locating a 4wd long bed junker and swapping all the suspension(springs, engine cradle, transfer case, etc..)over to my 2wd frame?? Are 4wd and 2wd frames truly interchangeble?

Depends on your rear suspension. If you have leaves in the back, it's easier to match to the front 4wd suspension.

You do need to do something about the 2wd "bump out" for the ebrake cables, as it's pretty much where the front shackle wants to go through the frame.
