55-87 bed interchange?

Anyone here using a narrow bed from a 70's truck on your late 50's truck? I think they are the same except the fender mount holes, if so, it should work wouldn't it?

The beds are the same size from 55-2nd series through 72. But as you mentioned the fender holes between 55-66 and 67-72 are different. The angle strip that sets on the wood will have a different pattern from 55-59, 60-66, and 67-72. Beyond that the bed sides themselves will swap.
