this is cool
sat i was at a swap meet in gray tennessee and i seen these q-jets and i asked the guy what he wanted for them. he had 6 and one 2 bbl he thought for a min and he said you can have all seven for 20 bucks(thats right is said 20 bucks) so i said i will check back then as i pondered on it i decided to go and get them. 3 are for a bb and 3 are for a sb. some have ele chokes. some have regular chokes. they are in real good shape. i hope to learn how to rebuild them. iwill get the numbers off them and hopefully some of you can help me decode them.

Re: this is cool
The qjets are great carbes when working correctly, and a huge pain when they aren't. The bad reputation comes from those expecting a worn out 30 year old junk yard carb to perform like a brand new perfectly tuned carb just because they put a basic jet/gasket kit in it.
Anyway great score! Frank

A good start is the link below to Lars Grimsruds Quadrajets tuning doc. He is highly regarded over on the corvette forums and is "the" expert when it comes to carbs and distributors. http://www.corvette-restoration.com/...arb_Tuning.pdf
