Fgb52 kit

Grendel is the man! I love this kit! My question is: What lift do you get with different lift rear springs? Im looking at a close to six inch or a four, I have not decided yet...

Re: Fgb52 kit

Sweet I have some 3/4 ton springs! Thanks again guys for the help! I bought the kit last night. When I get started I will let you all know how its going with pics and such... By the way, what will I do for my engine crossmember? I dont think I can leave the breast bone in there? I have a 73 4x4 frame, will that cross member work? The truck is a stock BBC truck with a 468 now (originally a 396).

Which springs did you use?

Shouldn't need double shocks, unless you want to run them. I did a sway bar on the K5.

Re: Fgb52 kit

Looks great man! Sharp! That lifted it fairly big. Looks like you took the overloads out? Did you use new springs? I got some of a 73 3/4 ton hope they work that well. Ordered my kit on monday. Kert says they are way behind so another 1.5 weeks. Give me time to rip all that 2wd stuff out! Any advice on that?....
Thanks
Chad

drbyrdman,

You gonna put some degreed shims in to fix your pinion angle?

the b52 is a 4" lift. so i would get some 2" lift rear Blazer springs. or just get some juckyard springs like i did and add a couple leafs to get the height right. you need to make sure you have the spring wraped at both ends or there going to move when you turn the steering wheel.
