shifters....
Anyone using the 23" Lokar/Genie shifter in their trucks? Any pics? Thanks

I used to have one in my truck.

If installed correctly, Lokar shifters are extremely sturdy. There's a reason they're really expensive... THEY'RE WORTH IT!
I have a 16" floor mount shift for my 700R and love it.

It was very sturdy. It also had a nice shift detent. If you wanted to shift manually, it had a very nice feel to it, not too stiff and not too soft. The only reason I swapped out was to clean up the interior some. I really miss it being in there to be totally honest.

^I "toggle" between 3rd and OD a lot because of traffic and lights. 700Rs under light acceleration like to shift into OD at about 45mph and I don't like that. I leave it in 3rd until 50-55mph then bump it up. I also kinda rest my hand on it. The shifting mechanism on them is top notch.

Fastom, you should be sorry for that pic. How dare you post a pic of that ugly truck without the shifter knob attached. What nerve...Just kidding! Nice truck. I like the look of the Lokar shifters on the floor.
