HELP Lowering a 3/4 ton truck

Can anyone give me some info on a static drop for a 88 extended cab long bed? Whats the difference between 1/2 and 3/4 as far as suspension. I can get a DJM flip kit for the rear but I am having difficulty finding the proper product for the front end eg...coils and spindles. The guy at Summit told me it is the same flip kit for both 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks. It has 5 leaf in back and 6 lug wheels. Is the front the same as a half ton? I guess I just don't know the specifics of the rotor size, control arms, etc... Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Doug
