WTB: Stock GM thermostat housing,...

I need a stock thermostat housing for my blazer.
I've been fighting a small leak and I don't want to run a chrome o-ring style new one. The one I have is pitted. I've had it off three times and have given up on it. Does anyone have a nice original one without any type of sensor port in it. I can't remember how may of these I have thrown away.

Re: WTB: Stock GM thermostat housing,...

hey lolife,

I'm sure you know this, but have you ever tried a Fel-pro permadryplus gasket ($7.99)....it's a silcone gasket that I used, and it seems to work good and it's re-usable....I know you're looking for stock as well, but I got a cast one at autozone too for $6.99....

LMC should have the stock cast iron & alum. ones. I bought some straight versions from them before.

Re: WTB: Stock GM thermostat housing,...

Thanks for the suggestion. gcburdic, I know the gaskets you are talking about. I had one on, but it leaked also. (just when the engine is hot, it has a small drip)
I think the thermostat housing is the problem.
Again, thanks.

You price it.
If it's nice,... and the price is right. I'll buy it.

Re: WTB: Stock GM thermostat housing,...

That's not to bad if the bottom isn't pitted like the one I have. Can you get me a pic of the top and bottom sides?
