what i believe to be axle wrap
i have a 99 silverado that has been lowered alot on static drop. I believe i have axle wrap, i accelerated a little to much in my alley and my buddy said you can see the tires hopping, so its axle wrap. my question is how to track down the true source of it so i dont go throwing money in the truck thats not needed.

Get a video of the problem and analyze what your needs are.

"How" is it lowered? Springs, blocks, shackles? this may lead to some answers too....

Re: what i believe to be axle wrap
you will need a dial indicator. remove the drum or rotor depending on what you have. place the magnetic end on a flat surface ( backing plate or the case). align the tip of the indicator to the axle hub edge, making sure that studs will not hit the dial portion of the tool.then you will rotate the axle by hand pay attention to the dial and record the low point and the high point. i cant remember if your to zero out the dial at mid point of the reading or what. sorry for not giving complete details but this will give you a start.. GOOD LUCK!!!!

All that will tell you is whether or not your axle is bent^^^^

Re: what i believe to be axle wrap
If your still on leaf springs in the rear, it's probably just typical axle wrap. Practically all leaf spring set-ups will have axle wrap, the question is how bad is it. Add a traction/anti-wrap bar to control it or switch to a link style suspension.
