Ok, we are getting ready to put the front suspesion together. The original lower control arms were shot, so we got some new (used) ones a junk yard (we did not remove them). Everything has sandblasted, powder coated and is ready to put back together. After the arms were powder coated we noticed that the lower control arms ball joint holes are a little bit bigger than the orginials A-arms. Someone told us that means they are 3/4 ton arms. Is that true? If so can we use them and simply use 3/4 ton lower ball joints? Will the 3/4 ton ball joints fit into the new five lug disc brake conversion spindals?

Bad news, the 3/4 ton ball joints won't fit the 1/2 ton spindles.

But the good news is you can do an easy disc brake swap to newer spindles. Not what you want to hear though.
