How to make an A/C box look new
I'm having to use parts from about 3 different exterior A/C boxes. They are solid pieces, but the fiberglass looks real weathered. I was wondering if any of you guys have found anything to renew the new look.

If you have excess to a blast cabinet. glass bead it with low pressure and then clear coat it with semi gloss, and it will look like new.

The glass bead trick rocks. I think I glass beaded every part on my truck I could get in the cabinet.

I thought about the clear coat idea, but my dad always talks about using clear coat on engines back in the "old" days and he says that it would always crack up and look like crap. I thought about black paint, but the box is supposed to have the white fibers showing. maybe just a lot of armor-all?

The clearcoat works great. If you could glass bead it like said before it would look better than new. If you have no access to glass bead blasting, just clean it up the best you can and then take some fine steel wool to it. The trick to the clear is not to put a lot on. The fiber that the box is made of will asorb most of it. I have never had a problem with clear cracking on something like that.

I used "Wrinkle Coat" paint that they make for trunk interiors. Put on a real light coat. It left a nice textured finish
