Need some parts but not sure what exactly I need..can someone help.. - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Okay, I washed the truck today in the 70* weather we had....I opened the door to get in and the interior was wet...I decided It was finally time to order new door/window seals..

The water goes down the window into the inside of the door (cannot be good!)..the seals around the door and cut, dryrotted and worthless...
I DONT want to order front windshield or back glass seals, ive already got those thanks to a genrerous board member...

I need:

All Seals For Drivers side door and windows
all seals for passenger side door and windows
and possibly something to keep the windows from shaking terribly!!

Also, my windows rattle very bad when going over rough ground or going down the gravel driveway....the shake and are very loose...what do i need to fix this, some sort of felt lingin in the windows??!!

Thanks it'd be greatly appreciated if somebody could tell me exactly what i need...cant find exactly what im looking for on the internet sites...

As far as door seals go, I definitely recommend the press on type ones that GMC Pauls has. No messing with glue and you can remove and reinstall if you need to for paint or something.

I got the push on stuff but the doors always shut very hard after that. It's considerably thicker than stock. It was nice because it was easy to put on, but I don't think I would get it again. I would try something like part number 132051 on here:

It is $65 and has everything for the doors, including the parts to stop your windows from shaking.

okay...that 132051 was on my list of things to buy...

but im getting different opionons on the weatherstripping, press on vs. the other kind i guess lol...

lets get some more opinions here folks!

Never used the press on before but sounds easy enough though.
If you use the standard stuff you will need the 3 M sealant availabe at most parts places. Always had better luck using the black color and plenty of clothes pins /or tape as clamps.
The vent windows seals are for the more challenged. Good luck.

Theres a FAQ in the index for re building your vent window..Its a PITA from what ive heard but well worth the better sealing
