Paint color and vent window interchange

Okay two questions for you all.....

1st is I got a set off doors and a hood today that are painted this funky green color. The guy told me the truck was orginally a GM color of shamrock green. I believe these came off a 79. Was that the name of the color? I might end up painting my steep this color when done because my dad likes it.

2cond, Will 73-80 vents fit in a 81 plus doors with no mods? My 84 has Shatty wings and my 77 which is getting different doors has great vent windows so if they can swap then I can save alot. Seems to me if swapping the whole assembly it could work. The 77 has manual and the 84 has power windows if that makes a difference.

Oh and here is that color:

84. I believe they will fit, BUT, some trucks had 2 screws in the top of the door to the vent frame and some only have 1 screw. Take a look at the top of the doors in question to see which you have. In any event the upper hole lines up on all of them. Down inside the door it should all line up. Power or not shouldn't matter. Jim

Little stuff left to do is mount winch, wet sand & buff out and build belly pan\running boards. Body work takes lots and LOTS of beer!!!! God, Guts and Guns made America and God, Guts and Guns will preserve it! The worst thing you could do is get into my sights, but that don't matter, you'll never know it, cause you'll never hear the shotJim or Paladin whichever you choose.

Yep, they will interchange. But they have 2 to 3 screws, I believe GM changed the number of screws in the 80s.

You may have to bend the metal tab where the screw hole is to make it fit
right, that's because GM doors are not perfectly identical.

Re: Paint color and vent window interchange

There is a style difference in the two window shapes, as well as the actual turn handle.

Neither of these will affect the installation. But as already stated the late model windows used 2 screws as opposed to 3
