Finally some progress

Been waiting forever on my new rims to arrive and they finally did yesterday (6:30pm). So didn't get anything done yesterday. This morning took rear tires/rims and had them mounted. Got them back and started cutting the mini-tub. Finished that around 2:00pm. I still need to mount the front tires/wheels and fab the inner wheel tub. Will probably do that next weekend. I know it looks dumb with two different rims, but I had to roll her out of the garage. The first pic is on a slanted driverway, she actually sits level. I lowered her down about 5" more than I had it before (flip kit)The second pic is before I put the bed cover back on. Can't decide if I want to run the center caps or not. What do you guys thinK?

Still need to paint my hood.

Next is a roll pan for the rear.

Re: Finally some progress

Nice! I like the rear lights in the fender too. Just curious but why is the air intake "scoop" sitting at such an angle? Did you modify the engine mounts?

Re: Finally some progress

No, nothing modified. I was wandering the samething. I hate it like that. I was thinking today that maybe I will try to put a carb spacer on the rear carb and that should level it out some. It really wasn't that noticable until I leveled the whole truck.

***EDIT***
I just went out and looked at it real good, and I think I put the top piece of the tunnel ram on backwards. Son of a beouch. Going to fix that right now.

Re: Finally some progress

Maxreps-Thanks for pointing that out to me. I went out and took the top plenum off the t-ram and turned it around. Looks great now. I feel like such a moron. It ran great for well over a year like that. Sets more level now. errrrrrrrrr

The tire size is 29x15 M/T SR Radials. 15x10 Centerline Convo-Pro, 6.5 " backspace(rear) Front is 15x8.5 Convo Pro, 3.75 backspacing, BFG P245-60's (for now)

Fixed that problem with the scoop. Sits much better now. Still can't believe I did that. Still need to paint the hood

Re: Finally some progress

Are you going to not have a bumper or roll pan ? Ithink a sport bumper to match your front one would finish the rear off well . I think these little stepsides look a little too chopped off in the rear witout a bumper . My opinion ONLY. Being old school myself ,I also really like the hotrod look . I also think the stepsides were made to be tubbed WITH big meats . Very good looking truck .

Re: Finally some progress

Thank you to everyone for the nice comments. I plan to add a roll pan, or maybe a sport bumper like you said. I had a bowtie bumper that I made and had chromed. I took it off because I just wanted a different look. Sport bumper, hmmmmm

Yea, I am old so my taste (or lack of) is different from alot of people.
