The rivets the hold the divider trim can be removed but that is part of the trim package for a cheyenne same as the headliner and cargolight. Not and option but part of the package. If yours doesn't have it I would think someone removed it when painted.

Re: Wtb: 1971 cheyenne cab

The trim around the back of cab is not cheyenne specific- but two tone specific- it is the paint dividing line. If you find a cab with what you want and it has the trim studs they can be removed quickly and painlessly so that should not be a concern. If you are concerned about originality the only concern you should have is the headliner holes on the inside and those as well as the cargo light can be added. A good cab is hard enough to find don't limit yourself too much. Good luck with your search.

Re: Wtb: 1971 cheyenne cab

I have 71 black on black cheyenne,72gmc serria black on black 72red cheyenne and 72 cheyenne med olive that are all solid from the factory and not two tone but still have the paint divider trim so I assumed it was standard with cheyenne trim level but not limited to cheyenne.I also am not a purist any good solid cab you can find is a good cab just like the one in the above post is a great cab.

Don't know how far you are willing to drive, nor where you are located in Illinois, but I have a '71 cab just south of Louisville. It does not have the options listed above, but I'm just trying to offer you some options. It needs a little work, but is relatively solid for this area. Someone along the line replaced the rockers and floor pans, but did it poorly. It has title and VIN plate. Let's start it out at a price of $250, with room to negotiate. I may even have some cab corners I can throw in on the cheap. Loading would not be a problem, whether you've got a trailer or a pickup. Delivery could even be arranged for a little gas money. I've got pics around here somewhere, PM me an email address, and I'll send them.
