73 grille on a 76
A 73 grille will fit on a 76 without modification right? I looked around on the web and finally found one site that said it was the same from 73-76 then from 78-80...

Re: 73 grille on a 76
I think 73-74 are the same as far as mounts go . I dont think it will bolt into a 76 without the grille mounting brackets , center support , etc .

Re: 73 grille on a 76
you definitely have to have 73-74 grille mounting brackets and they are difficult to find. so no a 73 grille is not a direct bolt on into a 76.

Re: 73 grille on a 76
a 73-74 grille bolted into one of my parts 77s.... i always thought it was broken because it stuck out two inches.
73-74, center latch grille is set back. 75-76 latch offset, grille flush 77-78 center latch, grille flush 79-80 grille flush, latch unknown to me (79 on the farm but ive never payed attention to it) Then you get oddballs like my brothers old 78 with an interior release handle. so that puts everything else on a spin. So, in short, no the 73 grille is not a bolt in to the 75-76.
