re arc leafs

i currently have newer 4" lift leafs and stock rear leafs i would like to gain 8-10" of lift by re arcing is this possible and how would i do so or what would be needed in the rear i also plan for a shackle flip so i would need 4-6" for rear

I`m not sure,but I`d think you`d need longer spring stock.Maybe springs can be stretched that much.I always figured they started with longer stock to make drastically lifted springs.You want 12-14" of lift overall?

I thought you wanted 8-10 but got confused with the rear and shackle flip(I always do).I`d ask a spring shop what they can do with your springs.The back depends on how bad you need lex or want a soter ride.Personally,I`d go all spring.I`m still not convinced reversed shackles are a good idea on a haulin`/towin` truck.I see them as trail toy-only.I don`t like alot of flex on the road.I prefer a firm ride in a heavy truck.I like how a lifted truck rides.It also will cost more to buy shackle reverse brackets and lift springs.Not to mention more work.

ok i plan to dump alot of money this month
plans:
-eaton rear install w/ disc
move shock mounts
-lenghten drive shafts
front
rear
-swap d44 gears to 4:10
-8-10" leaves

i also need to plan crossover steering, 350 rebuild, trans rebuild


i plan to use truck for towing and daily driver do you have any recomondations

Well...as far as towing goes,all you`ll hear is it`s not a good idea with a lifted truck,especially more than a mild lift.The tall tires are soft and air pressure is crucial.

1st question is what size tires do you have in mind?I`d say if you are lifting that much you prolly want 38-40s.In that case I`d say you`d want 4.56s.They will not below gears at all with that size tires.Without any formulas I`d say you`d be at about 3.42s.

i was considering 38's but am thing 36 or 37's and want to have the look of 8-10" of lift for pure astetics

I`d run 4.10s with 37s.Matter of fact,I will be.I guess 38s wouldn`t be much different.

It bolts right in.The driveshaft yoke could be different from your driveshaft,I think.

The shock mounts are the same.But,I needed a longer rear driveshaft (2") when I went up 6".The emergency brake cables will not reach.Up to a point you can drop the brackets below the frame.I`m not sure with that much lift.You can get custom made cables if you provide the overall length.The brake hoses will need to be longer,too.I used Inline Tube for mine.They are in business to reproduce original equipment and will make custom.But,you better know what you need before calling.The guy doesn`t act too friendly if you don`t know what you need.

i currently have a 4" lift with no e brakes and longer superlift brake hoses will my master cyl. work with a 3/4 ton rear and i plan to put disc brakes do i need to upgrade my m/c or booster

i'll also be leaving the front axle 1/2 ton until i can find a set of 8 lug disc brake knuckle set ups but will be swapping in my 4.10 gear ratio to match rear ratio on the eaton

The master cylinder should be fine.I`m not sure about adding rear discs and how they affect the proportioning valve.I think I`d buy an aftermarket one,like Wilwood,that is adjustable since the rear will grab harder than factory.
