My 4WD Conversion Progress
Well here are some pics of what I got done so far! Now im just waiting for my FGB52 Kit that is 2.5 weeks late! Hope it comes...
Rebuilt Dana44 with 3.73 Posi Rebuilt TH350 with a rebuilt NP 205 to back it up |

I would stay with the 16" or go to 17", the tire companys are slowly working the 16.5 out.......

I'm assuming you probably will I am thinking they would not clear the driveshaft and t-case.

I hope to keep the bumper! Thats what makes these beasts look so good. I plan to either shakle flip or make new springs for the rear. Gonna fab up my own engine cross member and get rid of the tranny and rear crossmember and put in some from a 73 3/4 ton K frame that I have. So I know that the 2wd bumper brackets wont work with the 4wd stuff, but a front bumper cant be used when you use a FGB52 kit?

Yeah,it all fits.I was just saying you`ll be taking the bumper off to install the springs. That is going to be a sweet 4wd.

Im waiting on my fgb52 kit still too. Ordered it a week and a half ago, hope it shows up soon. Far as I know they are 2 weeks behind right now. Nice looking project by the way.

Called Kurt, sbould have my fgb52 kit by thursday! Finished removing front body mounts and bumper brackets and did a engine crossmember out of 1/2" plate.
