Re: back sliding glass

I've never removed glass before but I am also thinking of removing the sliding glass on mine to have the cab sandblasted.

In my case, since I had the window installed almost 20 years ago, I will just cut the rubber to remove it and have the glass shop reinstall if I decided to keep it.

You might want to try the body/paint forum to see if those guys have an easy method to do it. I hear it requires strong string or flexible thin wire, wooden wedge, soapy water and best done with two people.

Re: back sliding glass

Is the frame held together with screws or riviets that can be removed to separate the top and bottom halves? It's been a long time since I have looked at one of those and every one is a bit different from one manufacture to an other.
