Re: any ideas or pics??

Nice truck man !!

Check out the '67 C-20 build I did for Rich (one of my customers..link is in my signature)

He picked up some decent looking 8-lug wheels....4-wheel disc and a 14bolt.

We did a 'mild' bag job on that...with notch.

Again...sweet 8-lugger !!!

Re: any ideas or pics??

That is exactly what i needed to see man!! I have checked out your c10 build Amazing Job!! Ima fabricator too and have done everthing on this truck with my pops besides the paint! Your builds pics are so detailed!! So sweet! The airride setup came out so clean! And i was totally thinking about going with a stock wheel setup too! maybe with a pinner whitewall and a center cap! Did a little mock up ghetto style check it out!

Good lookin lwb. I like seeing them around. The wheels Tony was showing ya
would be cool but have you thought about changing to another lug pattern? There seems to be a lot more cooler 6 lug than 8.

Yeah i have looked into it! And the front would be no prob. The rear would be a new rear end and that kinda sucks cause this ones just re-built!! but i have thought about it!!

Re: any ideas or pics??

I have seen some 8 lug "Slots" that would look awesome with a lower profile 16" tire.

Re: any ideas or pics??

Welcome to the board!

Very nice truck. Don't see too many C20's that are built.

As for converting to a different wheel bolt pattern, you can't just change the axles since you have a full floater. One way to get to a 6 hole pattern would be to have the hubs plugged and redrilled to a 6 on 5.5 and convert to rear discs also. Although you might want to check if there will enough clearance around the hub for the 5.5" pattern.

Re: any ideas or pics??

There are unlimited wheel choices for 6 and eight lug hubs. I work with a local wheel house that can get virtually any style wheel you want in about any manufacturer you choose. Most anything that will fit on my 2000 Chevy Z71 Tahoe (six lug) or my 1998 Chevy Silverado K2500 (8 lug) will fit on my 4-5-6 Chevy C10 or C20 trucks.

I encourage people to spend their money on their wheel/tire combinations instead of spending it on hub conversions from 8 to six or 6 to five. The old notion that there are limited wheel choices for the six lug or eight lug hubs is a thing of the past.

The truck looks great with the wheels that are on it now. I say bag it and then see how you feel about the current rims. Plus, it gives you more time to figure out the "perfect" wheel combo while also moving forward with your plans.

Thanks man!! My pops and i messed around with an extra tailgate we had and set it up like the modern style. We cut open the tailgate on the sides of the inside of the tailgate..hooked up a rod mechanism that attaches to a pull style latch(mounted center on the inside.. instead of the outside) the hinge system is actually a flatbar setup that came out in the 70's i believe! I got tired of seeing all the same setups when someone shave their tailgate latch.. Always see the same barrel bolts on each side of the tailgate mounted on the inside!
