Dash Pad Replacement - Hard? 82 chevy

How hard is it to replace the dash pad in a 82 chevt 3/4 ton. The dash and the "cap" are toast!

I have to fix the Defrosters on this truck and my 82 gmc. I suspect that would be a good time to do it with the dash pad off.

Any help and info appreciated.

Joe, take all the screws out from the front of the dash all the way across the front and 1 screw in the end of the pad on the pass side. Lift the pad up a bit and pull towards you. If you replace it get the replacement from capt. chaos. If you get from LMC make sure you get the OEM pad or you will be sorry. jim

Little stuff left to do is mount winch, wet sand & buff out and build belly pan\running boards. Body work takes lots and LOTS of beer!!!! God, Guts and Guns made America and God, Guts and Guns will preserve it! The worst thing you could do is get into my sights, but that don't matter, you'll never know it, cause you'll never hear the shotJim or Paladin whichever you choose.
