And here`s a picture of the rim....

Well - should I go and get 20s for the front and 22s for the rear???example:

or 22s all around ??

example:

or just 20s all around ??????

please feel free to tell your opinon and thank you very much !!

If I had to choose I'd go with 20 frt,22 rear.I'm not real big on anything over 18" though.

Re: again ... we want YOUR opinon !

I would go with 22's all around unless you are going to put the rear license plate on the ground. The staggerd look only looks good when you can slam it to the pavement. JMO

Re: again ... we want YOUR opinon !

i reallly preffer 20's not because of appearance but because of stability
the amount of sidewall dramatically effects your ride quality
and if u hit potholes with the little rubber band tires they get pretty jacked up.. JMHO
and i also reccomend a little little tiny bit more of sidewall protruding out to protect the lips of our rim from dings and scratches
=-)
just my 2 cents.. good luck and your truck is.. well it's freaking sexy!

Re: again ... we want YOUR opinon !

Sorry my vote is 20's all around. I didn't see that option before. dammitmitchel is right about the sidewall issues with 22's. But, you can hit potholes with 20's or any large wheel and jack them up. 20's

Re: again ... we want YOUR opinon !

im not a big fan of the 22 with a static drop. so my vote is for 20s front 22 rear.

oh and dont forget to clean up your brakes and suspension cause they will really show with those rims.

I say 20-22, because I think the staggered combo looks best. Just be prepared to drop it.

Re: again ... we want YOUR opinon !

I would do the same size front and rear. With the front wheel well being taller than the back, it tends to make the front wheel/tire combo look even smaller compared to the back. Here is mine with 22's front and rear.

I could not have said it any better that what your picture shows. The only time size stagger looks good on these trucks is when it's laid out. No matter what it has to be raised to ride height, and the staggered combo doesn't look as "correct" as the same size front and rear.

Re: again ... we want YOUR opinon !

That is a great looking wheel, but you might be overlooking something. They only show 20x8.5 or 22x9.5. I think 8.5 is to narrow for the rear, and 9.5 is too wide on the front.

Re: again ... we want YOUR opinon !

I like staggered. My truck is on 20s & 18s and it sits at ride height all the time (no air bags). In my humble opinion, 22s all around look great with the frame on the ground but to me it makes the front wheels look a little out of proportion when driving. Crawdadfox's truck does look pretty cool though!

Re: again ... we want YOUR opinon !

I´d use 20´s allaround and take a bigger tire with more sidewall out back and maybe a wider rim!
What about TÜV for american rims?

Re: again ... we want YOUR opinon !

I'd go with 20's and a taller sidewall vs. 22's and a shorter sidewall. I like some cushion between the road and my expensive rims.

TÜV is our german "main inspection" - we need special approval certificates for parts like rims, Steering wheels, exhaust systems - otherwise we could get into trouble with the local law enforcement

Problem is, when we buy american parts we won`t get any certificates, so we need to find some TÜV guys who "inspect" our cars and certificate that everythings okay...

Aaah, ok. I thought maybe it was a brand of wheel. Sounds like a much stricter version of the US Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) certification.

Re: again ... we want YOUR opinon !

Yep it`s stupid - if you know the "right" person you just pay him and then it`s "legal" to put for example these rims on your truck / car whatever ....

well - anyway, we have a lot of fun with our trucks here !!

You´re right-------the trucks are fun and turn heads whereever you show up!
It could be a little more fun if we could put on all the nice and cool parts from the aftermarket but the laws are spoiling the fun!

Re: again ... we want YOUR opinon !

I'm gonna get a pair of 22"s for the rear of my Suburban. For some reason the rear wheels look small on the Suburban, but 20"s looked huge on my 70 pickup. Both trucks have the same size tire too, 255/35-20. Might be the differant shaped wheel wells or the larger body height in the rear of the Suburban making the 20"s look small. I don't know but I like the 20" & 22" wheel combo, makes it look hot rod.

My Suburban on 20"s.

My 70 pickup on 20"s.

I think you might just need a little more rubber on your 20s for the burb - especially in the back...
...nice trucks
