Eye candy for the bone-stock crowd
Well, I've basically finished the restoration of Maych. After all the work it's fun to drive him around town and watch all the rubber-necking. I haven't finished recording everything on my web site, but I thought I would share a few sneak-peak photos.
Warning to the street rod/custom fans -- Maych is a bone-stock, numbers matched truck, right down to the factory hub caps and AM radio.

jonnyp that is just beautiful!! I have been watching and reading about your project since I came to this board. I am going for a different look, but that in no way means I don't truely love Maych. I can't wait until you get the web site updated. It has been useful for me in my project. Great work, you should be proud!!

LOL huck. BTW, I did use "the trick" on the hood. Still needs a little tweaking though. Got a little more work to do under the hood and may have to take it off again, so I'll leave it along for know.

And no 3" exhausts with 40 series Flowmasters?
Great truck, down to the sheetmetal plug wire shields. Your truck makes me want to build a stocker -- one with disc brakes and power steering, that is.

That is one beautiful truck. It didn't look that good when it rolled off the assembly line.
I hope the 71 GMC I'm building turns out half that nice.

Excellent job!!! It's nice to see another truck done all original (that's how all mine are done). Especially with the full wheel covers and not ralleys. Very nice.
