No hi beams and volt gauge left of center

Hi guys I need some opinions ,no hi beams thought it might be a fluke, so replaced lamps and pulled light switch, they came on.(fixed I thought) started it up later and no hi beams noticed gauge showing not charging took alternator in for test showed it was charging pulled voltage reg off another of my trucks and tried that didn't help, seems like even lo beams and instrument lights are dimmer than usual. any ideas?

I'm no expert but I would look for a ground wire and then the head light switch itself. Then the dimmer switch.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

start with the dimmer switch, it is the weak point in the system.
As for the amp guage reading low... you aren't charging for some reason.

Re: No hi beams and volt gauge left of center

Low volts = weak alternator or a loose alternator.

Loose alternator will do 1 of 2 things; improper charging and slipping belt.

Both of which isn't good.

Re: No hi beams and volt gauge left of center

i'd start by checking to see if you get 12v at the bulb ,could be hi filament on both bulbs is bad// if not 12v at the bulb then to the dimmer switch

Re: No hi beams and volt gauge left of center

The high beams is most likely your switch on the floor. They either go bad, or even work the wire loose.

Check the connector on the switch first, that's my bet.
