Re: so what did u do today

Ran coax for cable TV. The cable guy is supposed to come tomorrow... and this will be my first time paying for cable. I've gone all these years without, and when I did have TV it was with bunny ears.

I just hope it doesn't draw my attention so much that it takes time away from my hobbies. Everyone says to beware of that possibility.

Re: so what did u do today

Fired up the burb and pulled her out of the garage, and fired up the HD for a while as I swept the floor and put things away. Still a lot more to do though... Took a short ride through the back roads to relax a bit.

Re: so what did u do today

Let's see. Finished blocking the dash, door jams and firewall. Sprayed primer one more time, final sanded, and layed down the prettiest blue metallic base/clear I've ever seen. Came out really nice!! Tomorrow I'll bring along the camera for you all to see. Also completely restored my non-air heater box and after all that, cleaned the shop.

Got the doors and fenders put back on the '71 and started sanding the clear. We will be buffing it tomorrow. This picture is before we started sanding. I told the guy that painted it that it really didn't need sanded and buffed, but he said we were going to do it anyway. There were a few specks of dust in the clear....

I will post some update pics in a new thread tomorrow night.

Other then taking a differential apart today, I plowed, shoveled snow, and fed the Turkeys that kept coming in to eat.

Re: so what did u do today

Cleaned the shop some more. Did a little welding on my fuel filler piece, and visited the man-store (harbor freight) with my son.

Spent the day in the terrain park again. Not much truck progress on the weekends lately. The skiing has been too good.
