I've always liked the 69 Dodge Chargers. I grew up watching the Dukes of Hazard.
So whats your plans for the project. Gunna make a "General Lee"? I see the wheels in the trunk. Good luck on your parts searching. I know there scarce in my area, a friend of mine has a 68 that he needs parts for.

I used to have a 69 Charger. 4spd console car. Red with a black vinyl top. It was a pretty highly optioned SE car in very nice condition. Zero rust, perfect interior etc etc...I paid a grand for that car...lol. This was before the Dukes of Hazard and Barret Jackson.

Sold it right before I got married the first time. Guy only had it a short while and wrapped it around a tree...gone forever.

I still keep a look out for a decent priced one, but have yet to find a deal that doesnt make me choke.

It IS a Dodge, but there is always a soft spot for the collectibles. After the Dukes of Hazzard series, there aren't too many 69s left in the country.

Hey nice Super Bee that is what I wanted to buy but fell into the pair of Chargers so "I had to buy them"!!! The plan is to make one Richard Petty blue early nascar look alike hot rod. I have a 440 and a 4 speed just need a bell and pistol grip shifter. Going with 4 wheel disc and wide tires all the way around squatted down. What is left of the white car may end up being a drag car.

I love the Mopar Muscle. My first car was a 70 Challenger. My brother and I also fixed up a Charger we bought for $150 and sold for $2,500 (picture has my grandma pretending to work on the car.)

Finding parts has proven to be harder than I thought. I'm a Chevy guy so this is a new challenge. When I asked a guy for a power steering pump for my 440 he laughed and said it could be one of 7 that year well glad I had many fun filled Chevy years yes muscle cars do wear bowties!

Definately not a sacralidge with me!! Besides bieng passionate about 67-72 chevy trucks I am a die hard fan of 68 and 69 Chargers, and 70 Dodge Challengers. If I made way more money I would propably be restoring a 69 charger black, with black vinyl roof, and red R/T stripe, with 440 four speed, and oh yeah black interior. Next I would be doing a red 70 challenger with black vinyl top and black interior.

Definately true about the difficulties rebuilding Mopar muscle cars. Everything is EXPENSIVE, and they made a million different types of parts for everything. It is very confusing to follow, especially if you are trying to do a factory resto. and other Mopar dudes are way into the details!!!

Besides bieng a member here I am also a member of DodgeCharger.com those guys are a little rough around the edges but you will learn volumes from them. I am also a member of cuda-challenger.com

Everyone with pics of these sweet old Mopars are killing me! And yeah a good project charger or challenger with decent options and original engine goes for more than a restored 67-72 chevy truck does in most cases!!

I have to agree about trying to find parts for the old mopars. IF you find them, they usually are not cheap. The bright side is the old chrysler products still hold value real well.
A couple pics of my 65 300 "L" after engine install, and my 65 ragtop plymouth. (only pics i could find right now)

No luck getting anything done today with the pair. I bought Craiger S/S wheels and tires for it and the lugs I bought with them won't work Dodge was still using left hand lugs in 69 no one stocks them in our town. One car came with General Lee wheels in the trunk but no mag lugs. Maybe I will get something done tomorrow if it is nice out. BBO

My father in law brough his 440/4speed Super Bee out to my house yesterday. Took me for a spin (literally). That thing is fast and mean. He let me drive it on the way home. I took pics but haven't had time to download them to the internet yet. It has alot of go fast goodies and is pushing some unreal horsepower, I accidently started in fourth gear from a dead stop. Did the car stall out? No, it took off without even bogging although much slower than it would in first gear.

Today I bought number 3 it is another 69 SE and has a 440 w/ 727w/ A/C. It is the best of the 3 and cost a bunch more. Now it's time to do a little work!!!!!
