Re: Kind of cool

I would absolutely love to have that truck! The miles don't even scare me. My uncle has a '94 ram w/ cummins & 5 speed with I think 200K on it and it still runs like a top.

IMO, if you're going to ask $9,500 for ANY vehicle... WASH the damn thing!

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I like your 67 CST.

I found a 72 2wd 3/4 big block with air I really want here in town, but until your commander in-chief sends out my stimulus check, I'm not spending a dime.

But I would like to stop buy and drool at your 67 CST for sale, maybe next weekend.

Re: Kind of cool

Yours is sold already?

I love 67's but that was a fast sale.

Was yours a coil rear or leaf rear? Sorry I just re-read your ad.

I think a guy out of Huston is going to by it. It is a coil spring truck. It has lots of potential.....

That truck has inner beauty.I see right through that dirt.He`s not asking $9,500 because of the paint job.

Re: Kind of cool

Cool truck!

The rust free body would be super nice. Interesting he got 35's to work so well with just a 4 inch lift thou the front tire looks close or maybe the body doesn't line up as well there. 20 mpg is good, but I'm not sure it's worth that much effort. Hate to say it, but unless the body on the Dodge was unusable I would have left it stock and built a Chevy...

Re: Kind of cool

I wondered about using the Dodge lower and Chevy upper to keep the axles/transfer case, etc. Looks like it would work, but $9500 is about twice what the value of the truck is?? A decent doge Cummins donor is about $4k, and the LWB truck is a grand or two, but a red headed step child is worth?? I like it but the price seems high to me?

Re: Kind of cool

Those cummins powered dodge trucks aren't cheap. Granted, he probably started with a wrecked or totally rusted beat up turd of a dodge body, but I can easily see wrapping 10K up in that kind of an ordeal... not including his time.
Not my cup of tea, but I don't think his price is too far off base... and if it truely is a rust free body, we KNOW those panels can bring in some seriouse coin.
the few that popped up under dodge 3500 ram cummins in my area...
http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/1026709915.html
http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/1026075530.html
http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/1007409636.html
http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/1034362050.html

After looking at these two pics...

I was also wondering about the wheel base and the 'not centered' wheel.
However, after looking at the last pic;

I noticed how tucked in the rear wheels are... the dodge running gear isn't as wide as it needs to be for the chevy body. So looking back at the one pic again;

I'm willing to bet he has massive spacers in there, or the hubs/rotors off a daul rear wheel truck. They look to be pushed out so far that it exadurates the movement and makes it look way wrong.

It's just a theory though.
