Re: GOT A ? for you experts!!
Sounds like you have one mean 1/8 mile truck. On the 94 if it is still readable there is a plate in the glove box that has your vin & a bunch of letter/numbers if you can read them they will identify what gear ratio.(all those digits tell everything about building your truck, like a shopping list) Just have to ask parts man at dealer. To install it is something that is possible but will require welding & fabrication, probably be easier to buy something stronger that fits. Why not buy new gears for the one in it.

Re: GOT A ? for you experts!!
My truck stock came with a 3.07 ratio with TH-350 trans at 70 you will be around 2600 to 2700 rpm with a 28" tall tire. I am in the process of installing a 3.73 rear gear and can let you no about that in a few days.

Re: GOT A ? for you experts!!
If you want suggestion on gears let us know what tires, & where you drive (in town / or mostly on the highway) I agree on 700R4 or 4L60E or even 4L80E but gears are probably still a little steep. Maybe 3.73 + or - a little.

Re: GOT A ? for you experts!!
Maybe someone will jump in with other suggestions. I would suggest the 3.73 - to 3.42 gear range and go with the tranny. change later.

Re: GOT A ? for you experts!!
In my experience ( I was a GM dealership tech in 94), better than 80 percent of those year trucks had 3.42

Re: GOT A ? for you experts!!
With only a 25" tall tire I would go with the 3.42 ratio.
