SF Rod and Custom show! 3 burbs in one location - WOW

Well, I was at the SF Rod and Custom show this weekend, my buddy enter his car so we were there setting up his car and spot. So I got to see the show before it open and found not 1 but 3 65-66 burbs in the same spot, and not one pickup??? Anyway here they are....

Old custom classic trucks have soul. Their dashboards aren't plastic, and they've survived both the best and worst of what the 20th century had to offer. For the owners of these trucks, it's often the same story. Through both good and bad times they persevered, until one day they could turn the key and roll up in a customized truck everyone with good taste would admire.Custom Classic Trucks

Re: SF Rod and Custom show! 3 burbs in one location - WOW

Hello everyone! Thanks for the positive comments. The blue one the 3rd picture is awesome, both are but I have only seen the 3rd one in person down here in So Cal at the Good Guys Del Mar event. It was featured in Custom Classic Trucks while mine was being painted and I used it as inspiration.

Thanks again.

I don’t know how much hassle it would be - but if I had one of those big dogs I’d make sure the big slide windows were electric. Probably cost a bazillion dollars to do - but it would still be outrageous.

It would be cool but I can tell you that it was hard enough just having to get all the frames redone and the glass cut plus only one company makes the window rubber and it doesn't fit well... to much work. I have all four sliders and at the end I was thinking I should had made them all fixed.

Re: SF Rod and Custom show! 3 burbs in one location - WOW

I hear ya ///Juan....I had total issues with the glass in my 'burb. I went all fixed and tried to have someone install it; one of the rare times I didnt want to waste the time. He broke my glass and screwed up my gaskets. Do it yourself always seems to be the answer.

Glass guys cant install this stuff.....you cant use a caulk gun!!!

Very nice truck, by the way. Love it!

I only go out there for our show. Our car club has chapters back east and they organize the show there for charity and my wife and I fly out every year to help out. I did get to meet Babe Howard and he was indeed a very nice man. Look me up this year, I'm always helping at the main gate.

I love that shade of blue.
The copper and creme looks pretty cool too.

But it's a little sad... such beatiful paint, no rock chips... these beauties don't get driven much, do they.
