Look at these wheels

I know this is off topic but .........Damn ! I hope that the 73-87 Chevy truck guys never get to this point with the restorations . Take a look at the wheels . 6 days to go and already $11,600 . Thats a set or two of what ever wheels and tires you could want for your ride .

Re: Look at these wheels

The people bidding on those are the a-holes ruining the old car scene. I despise those people. the whole point of old cars is they're cheap and are cool and normal people can afford them in order to have a cool car even though they aren't rich. so much for cheap. morons. hell if you think about it, honestly the car they came off of is worth less than those wheels are selling for.

Re: Look at these wheels

Well, I don't think Corvettes were ever really cheap old cars, especially the ones from the 60s. I think the "cheap" old cars are always the ones 15-20 years old. Once you get past that, things start going up in price.

I know guys who do crazy stuff like give 100K for a NOS lower radiator hose or whatever, but that sort of crazy eyed restoration isn't really my thing. Those guys are insanely amusing, though. I worked a few Barrett-Jackson auctions a few years ago, and it was always funny to watch how pissed the really rich folks would get when they had to get in line at bidder registration behind all the other really rich folks.

Re: Look at these wheels

hmmm..... nos parts for vetts arn't cheep and the rarer the more its going to cost you but for 18g's you could buy a whole corvett of that vintage (yea it at going to be a show car and it might not even run)

I see those wheels on a lot of vettes so is the seller jacking the price

and before anyone goes off the deep end about not able to buy a corvette for 18g's. I did its a 63 convert and with a oil change and a battery charge I drove it home however the radiator didn't hold water
