Check out my lucky find!!! 72 Cheyenne Super
I Met a fine gentleman named Dennis about 5 years ago with his totally original 72 Cheyenne Super that he purchased new in September of 72.
It was so cool to hear his story about how and why he picked this particular truck out when he was looking at a leftover 71 Cheyenne Super. After 5 years of contact he agreed to let me purchase the truck due to the passing of his X-wife where the truck has been garaged since day 1. It was quite an honor to accept it from him and I felt bad driving away in it while he watched me go. Sort of!!!! The only thing not original is the seat cover which was replaced with a black vinyl cover so someone please let me know where to find a parchment/hounds tooth bench seat cover..... Tim |

Re: Check out my lucky find!!! 72 Cheyenne Super
To answer a few questions.
This truck is the 350/350 combo I know everyone likes the color, but what is it? It simply says "Special paint" for the option on colors rather than what I am used to seeing on all my other trucks that actually say the color name. It is more towards orange than red but is not the color I call "Hugger orange". As for plans for this truck, get the seat back to original material and do a good clean up on it which wont take alot and then drive on sunny days. I will keep it the survivor it is. BTW, to those of you with children, my daughter and son name my trucks. This one is now Nemo. If youve seen the Disney movie or ever seen a clown fish you'll get it. I got a kick out of that. Tim |
