1987 Heater core w/AC
Looks like I need a heater core. Did some searching and on the hoses I have hot going in and cooler coming out. I can see the return line into the rad and it very low flow( I mean very little) If I rev it up it does increase but i really have to rev it up. The PO really did no maintenance on this thing.The antifreeze is green but lots of brown crud in there too. I took the hoses off and back flushed it with a garden hose and after about 10 min it started to finally run clear. Did not help at all.
So next is the core. Anybody done one of these? any pics or links?

Just did mine last month... went by the instructions in the Chilton manual... to me it was quite simple.

Just a FYI. I had to flush the cooling system before I was going to do the core. I had no flow thru the core. I phone the local rad shop and for 100 bucks he flushed the whole system and guaranteed that it would improve the heat. He was right...Wow it will cook you right out of the cab now. so no replacing the core now, on to other things.
Does anyone know why my a/c vents "bleed" some air. They should shut off completly when i go to heat or def. but some air still come out thru them?

it might be a vacuum line or actuator

I pulled the glove box down and the door near the floor moves when i go from floor to def. then there's a door right behind the glove box that also moves when i go to vent but after adjusting in 20 different places I'm still right back where i started.
Does anyone have an exploded view of the ducting and box?
