Bed disassembly

I want to pull my bed apart when the weather warms up and get ready to repair or replace some panels. My question is, how much of the bed is bolted together, and with the exception of rusted bolts, hard involved is the disassembly? I thought I saw a post here about it but I can't find it in the search. Any help would be great.

Re: Bed disassembly

About a month ago I ripped into my bed having never done it before. It took me about 30 minutes per side; in a barn; unheated; yek. The only power tool I used was a cut-off wheel to remove the tack welds at the base of the post that supports the tailgate. If your bed still has a the original caulk in the seams, the spot welds will be hidden from view.

Re: Bed disassembly

I think it was a very ingenious idea of chevy to do this!

Awesome! Thanks! That's where I saw the info, but lost the link when my other laptop died.
