56 sub w/ 72 clip

whats up all? i want to put a 71-87 clip, full frame rails, on my 56 burban.
i want to know if i should graft it in front of the body mounts or behind?
the frame rails have the same exact width under the body but the 56
rails dont flare out like the 71+ do....has this been done any pics advise???
pics of my 56 gmc & 58 chevy i want to do 1 of them

There's a guy on that big auction web site that sells a g-body clip. You cut off part of the original frame, line up the 4 holes on each rail then weld the edges. Really good quality. Oh how i wish i had found his kit before i started my subframe!! Reason is that he has engineered all the radiator and front fender mounts so everything just bolts back into place without having to do a bunch of fabbing like i have ended up having to do. There is a link to it on one of the threads in the 47-59 truck forum.

that seems expensive the 71+ clip is very cheep im just not sure
of the difference between the track widths of the trucks?
anybody know?

EDIT - Sorry I see you're asking about the 71-87 truck clips. I think they may be too wide which is why the Camaro/Firebird clip is more common.
