Camera help
O.k. i know this is not a camera shop but i need help with a digital camera ...I went down to wal-mart to buy one and of course the guy wants me to buy the most $$$$$ camera on the shelf ....So if someone could kinda point me in the right direction that would be great.....
LUKE How good is this camera 2.1 megapixels,4x digital zome and 8mb internal memory hewlett packard

HP is a good, reliable brand. The only thing I wish I had done differently was I would have bought a camera with Optical Zoom as well. Unless you plan on taking extended trips on which you won't have the opportunity to download, 8 Meg is plenty of mem. Don't let them tell you that you HAVE to get the flash card. Nice, but not nesaccery(sp?).

I agree.. I bought an HP and am very happy with it. I did buy a larger memory card and wish I had bought one with an optical zoom.
I am happy with the quality of photos, and use it alot on my Website!!

Go for optical zoom if you can afford it. Digital zoom means nothing but blown up pixels. I had a HP and was very happy with it. It was a 1.3 and 2x zoom. Basic and easy to use but I needed more features so I sold it. Also 8MB flash card is not enough in my opinion. You will want 16MB at a minimum. Fortunately these cards are getting very cheap. Keep us posted!
