Renewed interest in my 70
I used to be all over this board, but have strayed away over the last couple of years after buying and doing a lot of work to my Vette, but after having to drive the truck daily for the last few days b/c the Grand Cherokee puked a water pump, I find myself once again loving the truck. I only put 600 miles on it in the last year, but probably a couple hundred in the last couple of weeks. I"ve done some tweaking on the engine and now it will catch 2nd gear all day long and do a small burnout when I want to. It's dead reliable, but still doesn't run as stong as it should but I'm working on it. I've been looking at 5spd swaps and trying to find a "done" cab to swap for my junk one. I'd love to make the truck my primary transportation, but it's a LONG way from there.

I understand where you are coming from. I took about a year break from fooling with any of mine a while back, but I always come back!

Re: Renewed interest in my 70
I'm even trying to figure out a way I can put it in the garage. Right now that's the exclusive territory of the Vette (and the dog). Too much crap in there right now to get 2 vehicles in a 2 car garage.
