Just a couple of fit questions (HELP)

OK, here go's. I picked up a 74 4x4 Short bed for my son and I to build for his first truck. He doesn't even start driving for a year, but I need to get started now. My questions are:

-Rear end is junk, will one from a 72 blazer fit, ie: perches, width and all that good stuff?

-Doors are junk also, A buddy gave me a great set of doors from an 85. Will they fit on the 74? If they do, will a weatherstrip set for a 74 work, or will I have to get a seperate set for the doors?

Thanks!
Mike

Re: Just a couple of fit questions (HELP)

the doors will bolt right up. Same 6 bolt pattern.

It should make for a nice project and something he can be proud to drive.

Good luck

Re: Just a couple of fit questions (HELP)

As long as the doors are complete (the window regulators/glass/handles,etc), you're good. I assume you know the blazer rear end needs to be the same gear ratio as currently in the truck, yes?

Re: Just a couple of fit questions (HELP)

Thanks for the info. Ya, I haven't checked the gears yet, but I figured I would have to change gears in one of them. Thanks again for the info!
